Structural Surveys These are most frequently requested on properties often during the course of a house sale/purchase. Movement, cracking and subsidence are the most common problems we deal with. Our experience with this work goes back over 10 years and we frequently act for major insurance companies dealing with these problems being on the "Engineers Panel" of a national firm of Loss Adjusters. Pre Purchase Surveys Traditionally estate agents provide this sort of report but on occasion the client needs to feel that the report is truly independent and are more comfortable to approach a neutral surveyor uninvolved with the house sale/buying process. We can also offer advice as to the potential for future extension, which gives an added dimension to the report. Defects Surveys We are approached on occasion, and sadly it seems with increasing frequency, to look at work undertaken by builders to a poor standard. We often are able to mediate after listing the defective work or can if necessary support our clients in a process of litigation if this is the eventual outcome.
